Hello, and welcome to Baekbit fic fest! A Baekhyun-centric fic fest! This fest is all about our adorable source of light Byun Baekhyun. It can be any alternative universe, it can be any pairing with Baekhyun, and any possible story. This is all about Baekhyun!
The fic fest is made by Mod A, Mod B and Mod E. And surprise surprise, we're all Baekhyun biased.

This fic fest is Baekhyun-central, that means ANYTHING GOES, as long as Baekhyun is in the main focus/in the main ship. Fem!EXO, ex-exo members and other kpop idols are welcome!

However, if your prompt has triggers PLEASE MENTION THEM. The admins have every right to deny prompts if we deem them inappropriate. NO NON/DUB CON OR PEDOPHILIA.

Guidelines:

Guidelines are simple! We only ask that your prompts have Baekhyun as part of the main pairing or as main focus of the fic! That means it can be in any alternate universe, with any pairing (as long as it includes Baekhyun), and any rating/theme! We just ask that prompts do not include any non/dubcon or pedophilia - we're very serious about that, and mods have the right to disregard any prompts with these themes in them.

Prompting Form

Please feel free to fill out as many forms as you like! There isn't a limit on the number you can fill out :D And here is what you'll find on the prompting form:

• Contact information - This is just so that when a writer claims your prompt and they have a question, we can contact you to receive an answer! We promise that this information will only be for the mods' use and will not be shared elsewhere. (This will be something like your email or twitter @ so that we can easily message you if we/the writer have a question about your prompt!)


• Pairing - This is where you'll write which pairing(s) you want your prompt to be written for! This can include any ex-members of Exo, any other kpop idols, actors that Baekhyun has worked with, or you can simply write "any" and the pairing can be up to the writer! If you do have a preference on which pairing (but still want to write Baekhyun/Any), please be sure to write your preferences in the "Lights" section of the form, the same goes for pairings that you do not want to see at all (you can write those in the "Darks" section of the form).


• Rating - Here you have the option to choose from G, PG, PG13, R, NC17, and Any/All. If you don't have a preference when it comes to rating, you'll want to choose the "any/all" option. If you have questions about the rating system, please feel free to ask the mods and we'll be happy to explain!


• Prompt - This is where you'll be writing your prompt down! Please be sure not to make it too vague or too specific. We want to give our writers a good idea of the prompt/setting/plot, but not too much that they feel like they can't make the idea their own. But also, just have fun with this! We can't wait to see all the lovely prompts you have in store for us! Here are some examples of what a good/bad prompt looks like:

Good Prompt: Baekhyun thought his life was great as it was. He had great friends and a loving family. So why he agreed to go out with the Chinese exchange student; the resident playboy, was beyond him.
Bad Prompt 1: Baekhyun's life was great, amazing even. He had good friends, a loving family and no worries. Well that's until one day, a Chinese exchange student with the name of Yixing decided to ask him out. He goes out of his way to prove Baekhyun that he truly is in love with him with flowers, romantic gestures and cute guitar serenades. Yixing was basically making him walking around like a constant tomato because of him constant making him blush. Yixing really did turn his life around, and Baekhyun finds himself actually sort of enjoying it. (Too specific)
Bad Prompt 2: Yixing is in love with Baekhyun and Baekhyun think he loves him back. (too vague)

• Lights (wants) - This is where you'll write your preferences and wants for your prompt. Now keep in mind that the writer does not need to follow these exactly, but they're strong suggestions! Things like "happy ending" or a specific side pairing can be written here!


• Darks (do not wants) - This is where you'll write the things that you absolutely do not want to see in your prompt/fic! Things like "character death", "angst", or a specific side pairing that you really don't want at all. Unlike the "Lights" section, the writers do need to follow this section completely, so if you really want don't want a sad ending, be sure to write that here.


• Triggers/Warnings - This is where, if it applies, you'll write any triggers or warnings your prompt may have. If your prompt contains sensitive material like abuse, death, mentions of blood or self-harm - these will all be written in this section. Prompts that have warnings filled out for them will also be separated into a section all their own on the prompting archive when it is released, so those that wish not to see triggering/sensitive prompts don't have to!

Claiming Rules

• Claiming opens November 9th at 12:00 PM KST (if you need us to convert that time for you, please let us know!)


• Fill out the form below to claim a prompt.


• You are allowed to submit more than one claiming, as long as you finish your first fic and send it to us before claiming a second prompt (if you have finished, please send us an email and we will send you the format for sending in your fic early).


• If you have questions concerning your chosen prompt, or questions that you would like to ask the prompter, please let us know and we will answer any and all questions.


• Claiming ends November 22nd and first check in with 500 words is on January 1st. More information on check in will be coming up closer to the dates!

First check in!

• First Check In is really simple and easy! You don't have to worry about much, other than sending us an email with how you're doing with your fic!


• The first check in is going to be informal, so you don't need to send us a file upload of your fic! Just let us know how many words you have (you don't necessarily even need to be at the word limit quite yet), and where you think you're going with the fic. Below is the format we want you to send the email in:

Mods are still trying to determine beta readers for all writers that need them, but if you have yet to find one, please send an email reminding us that you need one (because it might have gotten lost in our inbox, or not saved as important to come back to later).

Third Check In!

 
• Third Check In is coming up soon (March 15th), and because it is our last check in before Final Submissions, it is required by all writers to send something in. The only exception is if mods emailed/messaged you privately (and this really should only apply to our pinch hitters).
 
• Word Count for this Check In will be 1.5k, but if you cannot reach that amount, please let mods know and we will try to help you to the best of our ability <3
 
• Please be sure to send us an attachment file of your fic in either .doc, .docx, or .txt (only for check-ins will linked google docs be accepted). No need to send the fic in HTML formatting unless you are submitting the fic as a final submission (if you are submitting as final, please send us a file attachment with both a copy that has HTML formatting, as well as one that remains unedited (without HTML).
